Salimanga is an instrumental music duo born in 2013, when BC and Paulo Rogerio, two musicians who met each other in the renowned Brazilian alternative rock band “Moveis Coloniais de Acaju”, decided to interpret their own themes with acoustic guitars and saxophone. The name Salimanga is a mix of two words – ‘sal’ and ‘manga’ (salt and mango) – which represent an exquisite mixture of flavors, very typical from Brazil and which translates simplicity and sophistication at the same time, just as the duo sounds.

While working in its first album, to be released in the first quarter of 2015, Salimanga has been performing live at important clubs and jazz venues in Rio de Janeiro and Brasília. Recently the duo performed at Garanhuns Jazz Festival in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco which received great artists this year such as the American Jimmy Burns and the Brazilian Ed Motta.

With Moveis Coloniais de Acaju they played at the most important concert venues in Brazil and in Festivals such as Rock in Rio and Pukkelpop in Belgium. They also recorded together 2 studio albums, 1 live DVD, 3 EPs and many singles.
