Created in 2009 to play for a circus cabaret, Dona Joana is composed of musicians who are also – among many other things – actors, dancers and acrobats.
Seven multifaceted artists who take to the stage with great irreverence, enrich the show with scenic and visual elements and make a show where the music is directly influenced by all these languages. His education includes a charming trio of backing vocals that carries beautiful choreography, musicians who make a fun bartering instruments and microphones, plus the nicest drummer in the world.
The band’s sound, which has a major base of rock’n’roll, has also songs that go through many styles and sounds. The repertoire own songs blend a fun and unusual versions of other composers such as Chico Buarque, Noel Rosa, Zeze di Camargo, Kelly Key and Cindy Lauper.
